Little Shadow - We’re all in this together 

Parenting is one of the most challenging and important jobs anyone can do, yet honest conversations about the many challenges and stresses we face can be rare - especially when a parent is struggling.

Little Shadow counsellors will facilitate this intimate group support workshop aimed at improving the wellbeing and resilience of parents while sparking connections and friendships within our community.

Together the group will explore their parenting experiences, strengths, values and challenges to collectively develop strategies to enhance their wellbeing.

This session is 1.5 hours long and free to attend, please register to attend. 

Kaiārahi/Lead Facilitator:  Maria Milmine

Maria (she/her/ia) has experience in child and adolescent mental health, addictions and perinatal counselling.

Maria is Filipina, born and raised in Aotearoa, has two school aged children and is passionate about parents feeling supported and connected wherever they are on their own unique journey. Her enthusiasm for group work stems from her work experience in working within community mental health and Primary Health care settings.

Maria’s practice is based on collaboration, focusing on relationships characterised by warmth, empathy and respect.

As a facilitator, she takes the dual role of sharing knowledge and psycho education but also places great value on tangata whaiora, bringing their own knowledge and lived experiences.
